In an effort to help you during this current fire emergency in Alpine, I wanted to provide you with the latest updates and resources that I am aware of. My constituents’ safety is my biggest concern right now.
Currently there are two evacuation centers available:
- Los Coches Creek Middle School, 9669 Dunbar Lane, El Cajon, CA 92021
- Viejas Casino, 5000 Willows Road, Alpine, CA 91901

If you are being affected by West Fire and have large animals to evacuate, here is helpful announcement from the San Diego County Emergency Site:
“The Lakeside Rodeo Grounds is open for large animal evacuations. The grounds are located at 12584 Mapleview St. in Lakeside. If you need assistance with large animal evacuations, contact @SanDiegoCounty Department of Animal Services at (619) 498-2361.
A temporary evacuation point for people is open at the Viejas Casino, 5000 Willows Road in Alpine.
