On Wed., Dec. 7, State Senator Joel Anderson held his 9th annual Holiday Legislative Open House at the Toyota of El Cajon. Anderson hosts this open house to give his constituents an opportunity to speak with him directly so that he can hear their ideas for new legislation, in order to better serve them in the state legislature.

The room was full of people –over 4,000 as reported by KUSI– and lively conversations. Attendees networked with each other and with the businesses and organizations that came. Organizations such Alpine’s Lions Tigers and Bears, who is dedicated to providing a safe haven to abused and abandoned exotic animals while inspiring an educational forum to end the exotic animal trade, came to give information about what they do.

“I want to thank my constituents for taking the time to attend this event and share so many great about how to make government work for them. Thanks to all the businesses that came and generously donated their time and talents to contribute to the success of this event,” Anderson said.

Constituents were able to meet Anderson and take a picture with him. Constituents were also able to submit ideas for Anderson to improve the state at the constituent services table. Those who missed the Holiday Legislative Open House but would like to share their ideas with Anderson can do so by calling 619-596-3136 or emailing
