Ariel TanAriel

Hi, my name is Ariel and I am an alumni intern for Senator Joel Anderson.

I’ve learned so much from this program and the skills I’ve gained are so versatile that I can really apply them to myself. There were always something new and exciting for me to do in the office, and I was treated like an adult with respect and trust. The staff in here gave me enough independence to do my own project and add my own ideas to things, but they also gave me enough support to help me with my personal development and growth.

In addition to that, I am grateful for this opportunity because it allowed me to be surrounded and motivated by so many amazing people who work very hard in order to improve services for constituents. I was always told that people are driven by self-interest, but in here, I feel like everyone are driven by public service, are driven by the community involvement. I truly feel like this program had not only make me a better worker, but a better person, because now I actively stay tuned with current events, and am genuinely caring about the world around me.

If you are someone who is interested in what I am interested in, which is serving others and improving myself, you should definitely apply for our internship. Go Team Anderson!
