April 23 – May 24: DMV software issue misreported 77,000 voter records to elections officials.
July 1: DMV budget increased by $47 million to address wait times.
Aug. 7: DMV budget increased by additional $16.6 million to address wait times.
Aug. 8: the Governor prevented a legislative audit of the DMV.
Sept. 17: Gov. Brown signed SB 862, the “blank check” to increase funding to the DMV.
Sept. 5: 23,000 voter registration errors reported by the DMV.
Sept. 20: Router issues at DMV cause delayed at several locations until 11 am.
Sept. 20: 3,000 unintended voter registrations reported by the DMV.
Sept. 21: Gov. Brown ordered Dept. of Finance audit of the DMV.
