Senator Anderson opposed raising the minimum legal age on tobacco products. He believes that raising the minimum legal age on tobacco products would hurt returning veterans suffering with PTSD because using tobacco products helps them cope with PTSD.

Senator Anderson opposed ABX2 10 which would raise taxes on tobacco and tobacco products because the tax is not guaranteed to fund health concerns of smokers. Senator Anderson expresses that the taxes could be used for anything, even if the issue is unrelated to health issues.

Today, I asked that the Senate adjourn in the memory of Kiera Larsen, a 10-year-old girl from Lakeside who selflessly jumped in front of a runaway car in order to push two toddlers out of the way before being tragically run over. She is remembered as a beautiful and heroic young girl.
